Puti Island, located in the southwest of Yueyang County, has a total area of 2.34 square kilometers. It is named after the large number of "Buddha Holy Tree" - Pú táo trees growing on the island. It is an international birdwatching base, a provincial-level ecological tourism demonstration zone, and a scenic area. According to legend, Emperor Tang Taizong Li Shimin once stayed here for 19 days, so it is also known as "Nineteen坨". The island has a pleasant climate, suitable for summer vacation, with an average temperature of only 25℃ in July.

Puti Island has a primitive natural environment, with more than 260 plant species and a vegetation coverage rate of more than 98%. It is also a birdwatcher's paradise, with 408 species of birds living here, including rare species such as the black-billed gull and the short-tailed albatross.

There are no permanent residents on the island, which is quiet. Visitors can take an electric car to explore the island's scenery, rent a double bicycle, or choose to walk.

The island also has a Buddhist temple, which attracts many visitors to come and worship.
