The largest Catholic church in Tianjin, Xikai Cathedral is the seat of the Catholic Bishop of Tianjin in the typical Baroque architectural style.

Shaped like the letter "Y", the church's podium is made of yellow and red brick, topped with turquoise domes with semicircular arched windows below the eaves.

Daily morning mass and services on Sundays and Catholic holidays are held here.

Just outside the cathedral is International Street lined with trendy cafés and Western restaurants with a chic ambience.

Allow under 1 hour to visit. Take Metro Line 1 or 3 to Yingkou Road Station, Exit B1, about a 200 meter walk. Or take Buses 3, 45, 503, 50 to Binjiang Road Stop and walk over.
