Wuhai is an emerging industrial city in western Inner Mongolia, situated along the upper Yellow River in the transition zone between North and Northwest China. It is also the nexus of the Ningxia-Inner Mongolia-Shaanxi-Gansu economic region and the core area of the Yellow River economic belt.
Wuhai boasts abundant tourism resources with surrounding mountains, Gobi desert, sand dunes, grasslands, and the Yellow River flowing over 100 kilometers from south to north. Along the way are dozens of river islands, large and small. Endless sandy ridges resemble ocean bays at Jinsha Bay, while the sky-high One Line Sky gives a mystical sense. Ancient sites include Han dynasty ruins, Ming beacon towers, Mahuangdi ruins, and Qin dynasty remnants of the Great Wall.
